"Beloved family and friends, may I invite you
to join me to honor and remember my parents, Rufino and Emma.
Mom and Dad, the deep affection and respect
I have for you is beyond what words can express. You have given me and my siblings all the love, attention and care
we needed to explore our potentials and be the persons we can be. The discipline you instilled in us is our guide for
facing each day with optimism that we can have the grace to move on to what is good, just and right. You taught us the
basic rule for meaningful existence which is to love God and our neighbors and find peace within ourselves.
You were always there for us to enjoy the good
times. Mom and Dad, I can still see all those smiles, fun and laughter we had and I will make the joy live in my heart
and mind always. I also recall the times when things don't go as we wanted. You were there too, comforting us
and sharing our burden, guiding us as we face our challenges and celebrating all the little and big victories and blessings
when they come. I guess, we did quite well together.
For all these goodness and more, I thank you
Mom and Dad and I thank God for giving you to me. Though you may not be with me physically, I know your spirits will
be with me, surrounding me with your tender love and affection as always.
Today, my wedding day, I want you to know that
I am happy to have Humby. God has given him to me to love and cherish. Dear Mom and Dad, I love Humby and I really
wish you were able to have spent time with him and me.
Again, thank you Mom and Dad. I love
the two of you and miss you so very much, especially today, my wedding day.
Thank you so much to everybody."
